1A Acclaim Carpet Cleaners was established in 1975 by Terry Barnes shortly after leaving the Royal Air Force and has remained a family run business for over 40 years. Terry worked long and hard days and sometimes nights, building the reputation and experience into the company.

Sophy – Operations
Sophy keeps everything running smoothly—from admin to scheduling and makes sure all our customers needs are met. When not working she enjoys family time, long walks and staying fit.
Justin – Director/Restoration Specialist
Trained by Terry from a young age, Justin brings modern techniques and deep expertise to every job. Outside work, he’s a keen DIY enthusiast and loves spending time with family.
Terry – Founder
Terry started the company 50 years ago after leaving the RAF. Known for his warm conversations and expert touch, he still loves meeting customers, cycling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
during our busy periods we do have an overflow reception team so you may not always get Sophy or Justin to begin with.
